FAQ

1. What is financial coaching?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed when it comes to your money, financial coaching can help you get back in control. Coaching doesn’t mean we’ll do everything for you. Rather, we’ll sit down with you to teach you how to manage your money by yourself. We’ll explore your relationship to money, then get down to tachlis using software like Quicken to show you where your money is going each month, so you can make realistic decisions going forward.

2. Why do I need it?

Money is a very emotional topic. Many of our clients simply try to ignore it – to their own peril! You could be spending NIS 100 a month on entertainment…or NIS 1,000. Without putting together a detailed family budget, you  might never know and that makes it hard to know where to economize. Or you might want to get a handle on how much you’re spending – or could spend in the future – on tzedakah. Either way, financial coaching can put you in the driver’s seat.

3. How do you work?

Most of our work is done through one-on-one sessions with individuals and couples. We start with six sessions – you can read more on the Services page – followed by monthly follow-up to make sure you’re on track. Usually we meet in your home so we can find any documentation that you need to create your budget. We can also consult over the telephone, email or via Skype – helpful if you’re not local (i.e., in the U.S.) Our hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday – Thursday.

4. What does it cost?

Our six session course costs NIS 3,000 payable in advance. Additional two-hour sessions after that are NIS 500 each.
